Exciting news, Butler Academy community! Open Enrollment is officially closed, and we are thrilled to welcome new scholars into our vibrant, high-achieving learning environment. The demand for a Butler Academy education has never been higher, and our growth reflects the trust that families place in us to deliver an exceptional academic experience rooted in our BRAVE Core Values.
We are delighted to announce that 44 new Kindergarten scholars have already secured their places for the upcoming school year! Our commitment to academic excellence, character development, and a nurturing, compassionate culture continues to resonate with families across Darlington County and beyond.
With this surge in interest, we now have a waitlist of over 100 scholars across grades K-9—a testament to the impact Butler Academy is making in the lives of students and families. We are deeply honored by this overwhelming support and remain dedicated to expanding opportunities. Speaking of expansion, we are proud to share another monumental milestone—Butler Academy is launching its high school in the fall! Starting with our inaugural 9th-grade class, we will provide scholars with a dynamic, enriching upper school experience. Our high school will feature dual enrollment opportunities, career exposure, internships, and continued service-learning experiences that shape well-rounded, future-ready leaders.
To ensure enrollment fairness, applicants are selected through a public random drawing facilitated by the Lotterease electronic lottery system. All applications drawn after the school reaches capacity in any grade level will be placed on a waitlist for each respective grade level, in the order in which they are drawn. Butler Academy’s waitlist does not carry over from year to year. To ensure an equal enrollment opportunity for all prospective scholars from one year to the next, families who remain on the waitlist must reapply if they would like to be included in the drawing for a subsequent school year. Applicants who apply after the March 1 deadline will be added to the waitlist on a first-come first-serve basis.
